Currently the Baltimore chapter has 185 members and over 5,000 nationwide. ASA is great for education on construction related issues for suppliers and contractors.

CRSI

Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute

Promotes reinforced concrete structures. They work with ACI to aid engineers in the design of reinforced concrete. 

They develop standards for the reinforcing steel industry for all phases such as:  detailing, placing, epoxy coating, inspection, and fabrication.

PWCA-Maryland

Public Works Contractors Association of MD

NUCA Chapter

 

Relates to members current issues regarding  government, education and training, and safety issues.  More directed towards the utility contracting section.

National Precast Concrete Association

Leaders in the manufactured concrete industry through educational, and networking opportunities.  NPCA has 5 product committees to gather technical and production information for its members.

Baltimore Steel Club

 

Hosts monthly meetings for guest speakers to inform members of useful knowledge.  They also sponsor a yearly food drive for the homeless. 

This is the current list of Free State Steel, Inc. active membership to local and regional associations.  It is important to be up to date will new technology, market fluctuation and legislation.  This involvement is not only helpful to us but the organizations as well.  It’s a way to give back to our community and help better our industry practice with new ideas, involvement and support.
